MCPD: Web Developer Certification Exams
To gain the MCPD: Web Developer Certification, you must first complete the MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications Certification (two exams) as well as pass one additional required exam.Students can choose from either the C# or Visual Basic.NET class. The letters listed on the right hand side of the exam description refer to the HOTT courses relevant for that exam.

There is some material on the exam that deals with database design concepts. Students unfamiliar with database development may also want to attend HOTT's 3-day Relational Database Design Concepts. The additional tuition for this class is $995.

Students requiring additional coverage of .NET framework programming may be interested in attending the Advanced .NET Framework Programming Using C# or Advanced .NET Framework Programming Using VB.NET classes. These classes are helpful, although not required for certification preparation.

Prerequisite Exams
To gain the MCPD: Web Developer Certification applicants must first pass 2 prerequisite exams leading to one prerequisite certification (.NET Web Applications). Students can choose from either the C# or Visual Basic.NET class. The letters listed on the right hand side of the exam descriptions below refer to the HOTT courses relevant for each exam
