MCITP: Database Developer Certification Exams
MCITP candidates must first pass the MCTS: SQL Server 2005 Certification exam. To then
gain the MCITP: Database Developer you need to pass 2 exams. The letters listed on the right hand
side of the exam descriptions refer to the HOTT courses relevant
for those exams.
There is some material on the exams that deal with SQL programming concepts, such as stored procedures and triggers. Students unfamiliar with these concepts may also want to attend HOTT's 3-day SQL Programming class. The additional tuition for this class is $995.
Students who are already familiar with Reporting Services and who wish to focus more in-depth on Integration Services and Analysis Services should attend the SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence: Integration Services and Analysis Services rather than the SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence Application Development (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) course.
