Course Description: This course provides students with hands on experience using Visual Studio to create Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) applications. Students will learn the basics of XAML and how it, combined with VB.NET, is used to describe the appearance and behavior of WPF applications. Students also learn how to use ADO.NET to interact with data sources and display data. Other topics include examining WPF controls, working with images and multimedia content, scaling, rotating and skewing UI elements, and using WPF's powerful data binding features. Comprehensive labs and exercises provide the students with experience creating and deploying WPF applications.

This course is intended for programmers who already know VB.NET syntax. Programmers wanting to learn language syntax as well as WPF should attend the course Windows Presentation Foundation Programming Using Visual Basic.NET.

Course Prerequisites: Knowledge of fundamental XML syntax is helpful, but not required. Prior experience with VB.NET is required.
